Na, so ganz allein scheine ich ja nicht mit meiner Meinung zum GEZ-Blog dazustehen. Nicht nur Häme, sondern oft so eine Mischung aus Skepsis, Wohlwollen und grundsätzlich-Schritt-in-die-richtige-Richtung. Hier mal eine kleine Auswahl von anderen Blogge…

For example the annoying flash thing: Apple has some of the finest software engineers and hardware designers out there. If they like to implement it, you’d have Flash capability within a day or two. But that would open up there walled in system to other applications than the ones they could make money with via their AppStore. So they force programmers to only use Objective C instead of any other programming language because that way they are able to get 30 % of the revenues of applications they did absolutely no work for.

Next thing is, that they have total control over there customers. Take the 3G connectivity of the iPad. I’m pretty sure that it only allows the user to use the data connection with 3G. iPad has Bluetooth, so in my opinion it should be no big deal for a software developer to write a piece of software which enables real sim card telephony over the iPad via bluetooth headsets.

But as I said, I’m pretty sure this won’t be working. Either Apple has cut off the bluetooth CTP, HFP and HSP profiles (all would enable to use the iPad as a phone) or the mentioned piece of software appears on AppStore and will be banned within the blink of an eye.

Apple likes to sell both, the iPhone and the iPad. If it will be possible to use the iPad with the bluetooth hands free set in my car, I would instantly buy one of those things as a portable car entertainment and telephony solution. But I know Apple and so this wouldn’t happen so fast. :-)

Als ich bei http://www.tourist-online.de ein Ferienhaus reservieren wollte musste ich die Reservierung abbrechen, weil einige Sachen noch nicht wirklich geklärt waren.

Am nächsten Tag haben die mich dann gleich angerufen, um mich auf eine sehr nette Art zu fragen, was denn Grund für meinen Reservierungsabbruch war und ob ich wünsche, dass sie das Objekt für mich reservieren.

Telefonnummer und die ganzen Daten musste man natürlich erst bei der Reservierung der Ferienhäuser angeben.
